~ IT ~ Un po' di consigli per fare buone basi v_v

a). Scegliete un'immagine più GRANDE possibile. In questo modo potrete fare tante basi da un'unica immagine (ad esempio, da un'immagine da un servizio fotografico io riesco a tirar fuori almeno 5-6 basi).
b). E' importante anche la qualità dell'immagine. Se una immagine fa davvero schifo, rinunciate a farne una base.
c). Una parte fondamentale è il ridimensionamento (CROPPING). Cercate di essere creativi.
d). Immedesimatevi nell'icon-maker che userà la vostra base: sicuramente vorrà inserire del testo, o qualche brush, quindi lasciategli lo spazio per farlo.
e). Potete modificare i colori dell'immagine per migliorarla, ma non lasciatevi prendere troppo la mano, altrimenti l'icon-maker non avrà niente da fare.
f). NON aggiungete texture o brushes, mi raccomando O_O
g). Una buona base deve essere nitida, pulita e possibilmente senza difetti (ad esempio strane macchie di colore sulla pelle, o effetto pixellato dovuto a bassa qualità).
h). Se ricorrete allo strumento sfumino, ricordate di non usarlo mai sui lineamenti, ma solo sulle guance, la fronte, il mento ecc., ovvero quelle parti che non devono rimanere nitide, altrimenti fareste prima a usare il filtro sfoca =_=
i). E' bene aggiungere un po' di contrasto qua e là, ma non esagerate.
j). Se state facendo una base che include una persona, NON centrate mai la testa, è noioso, e idiota, perché impedisce agli icon-makers di aggiungere testo o brushes. Siate creativi, ponete l'attenzione su qualche tratto particolare (solo occhi, solo bocca), rimpicciolite, ruotate, insomma fate di tutto ciò che vi sembra possa andare.
k). NON SIATE PARSIMONIOSI. Fate quante più basi possibile da un'immagine, spostandola in tutte le maniere, in tutte le angolazioni, perché gli icon-maker sono cazzosi, non si accontentano mai, parola di icon-maker v__v C'è sempre qualcuno che, per la sua icon, avrebbe avuto bisogno che la base fosse ruotata di quindici pixel verso sinistra, e siccome era troppo dritta non ha potuto creare l'icon perfetta. Vi assicuro che accade O_O
Detto questo, aprite photoshop, cercate immagini e fate basi! XD
PS- se avete intenzione di uploadare le vostre basi su LiveJournal, vi conviene salvarle in .png, perché le jpg diventano pixellate.

~ ENG ~ Tips!

a). Use high-quality&large images everytime it's possible. You will be able to make more bases from a singular image, and this is GOOD.
b). When it comes to cropping, be creative.
c). Pretend to be an icon-maker: you will need space to add brushes, or text. If the base is too crowded, it will be impossible.
d). Edit the colors of your base to make it look better, but always try to keep them as neutral as possible.
e). Selective Colors is a good friend.
f). Do not use brushes ò_ò
g). A good base must be clear, sharp & flawless: remember this.
h). If you have to use the airbrush, use it only on cheeks, forehead, chin etc, not on the lines which need to be sharp.
i). Add a little contrast & brightness regolation.
j). If you're making a base with a person in it, DO NOT EVER center it: it's boring, and fool, because an icon-maker won't have enough space to add text. Be creative, focus on mouths, noses, eyes or something. Make it smaller, spin, flip - anything! Don't be afraid v_v
k). Don't be thrifty. If you can make 40 bases from an image, then make 44! Move the image around all the times you can, do not save anything! Icon-makers will thank you, they're terrible people - I am one, so I can assure you. They, well, we are never satisfied with bases & icons, so if you give us many&foolish possibilities we will be very happy.
PS- if you are going to upload your bases on LiveJournal, they suggest you not to save them as jpg. PNGs will be higher qualitied, so use this format.
